Still Trying to Catch Up...

We finished up football season recently by claiming the GCAA State Championship on a cold, rainy Friday night. Go Eagles!

We're #1

We are now rolling right into basketball season...

They were only too happy to participate in my photo shoot for the day :)

And a new MAJOR adjustment in our lives... our daughter has a boyfriend. He attends our church and they are in the youth group and on the drama team together. Of course they don't get to date because she is only 15 and he is 14. They see each other at church on Sundays and Wednesdays and we let him come over to our house on Saturday afternoons. Our son didn't date when he was in high school, so this is new water to navigate for us. We are taking this slowly and being very cautious (lol). We made the decision early on that we didn't really want our children to date. We just don't feel that dating is God's best for our kids. And we really didn't have to worry about it when our son was in high school, as he was more interested in just being friends with the girls and doing things with a group of friends.

Of course, every child is different, and so here we are dealing with an issue that I didn't want to have to face. But she knows that she will not be allowed to date him. The extent of their "dates" will be going out to eat or going to the movies, or ball games with the whole family in tow :0. Right now, when he comes over on Saturday, they spend the day sitting on the sofa in the den with us, watching football :)

So, I think I am caught up on everything that has been going on with us around here for the past couple of months.

  1. love looking at all your pics. It was great to catch up! We do not get to do that much anymore do we? I think all these changes for us moms are so hard... praying for you.
