We had our annual church-wide egg hunt on Saturday, with our youth pastor sharing a very moving story of Christ's last week on earth, His death, and His resurrection.
Our egg hunt is not really community-wide, so probably somewhere between 50 and 75 kids in attendance. I didn't help hide the eggs so I never heard an actual count. I do know they had several huge cardboard boxes filled with eggs to hide.
Our church hosts a community-wide fall festival each year (which has pretty much turned into your typical 'halloween carnival') and we don't really have an opportunity to share the gospel through this endeavor (other than handing out tracts as they come through the gate). We have done this for about 5 years now and have seen very little fruit. I think our efforts would be better spent doing a community-wide egg hunt. We'd have more of an opportunity to share the gospel, I think.
Our church also puts on an egg hunt. How many kids did you guys have come out and how many eggs did you fill?
